Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Three Tiger Brands facilities on track to achieve zero waste to landfill target

JSE-listed consumer goods and food company Tiger Brands has reported that three of its manufacturing facilities – the beverages plant and the home and personal care (HPC) plant, in Gauteng, and the Jungle cereals plant, in Cape Town – have achieved zero waste to landfill for three consecutive months. Collectively, the company says the sites have diverted more than 60 t of waste from landfill through improved waste segregation, operational changes, specialised waste treatment and partnerships that enable materials to be recycled, recovered or repurposed.
