Established by the Technology Innovation Agency in 2013, uYilo provides an accredited battery testing and materials characterisation facility, an electric vehicle (EV) systems laboratory, and a smart e-mobility ecosystem for testing and developing original-equipment manufacturer products and services. These facilities assist startups, small, medium-sized and microenterprises (SMMEs), and innovators in testing, developing, and validating their products, helping them to commercialise solutions and contribute to the industrialisation of the sector.
