Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Godongwana outlines next steps after withholding equitable share transfers of 69 municipalities

Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana has outlined what National Treasury expects affected municipalities to do in order to have their equitable share transfers reinstated. Earlier this week, Treasury announced that equitable share transfers to 69 municipalities would be temporarily withheld to instil fiscal discipline, ensure public money is properly managed and to deal with unauthorised, irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure by these entities.
