SuperUser Account / Tuesday, September 1, 2026 / Categories: Industry News Global air passenger growth continued in July, despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East The global representative body for the airline industry, the International Air Transport Association (IATA), has reported that total global air passenger demand in July increased by 0.2%, in year-on-year terms. If the Middle East was excluded, total demand rose by 1.2%. Total international demand, however, declined by -0.1%, although, again, the exclusion of the Middle East transformed the picture to growth of 1.5%. Domestic demand increased by 0.2%. Total global passenger capacity rose by 0.3%, year-on-year, in July.
