The first flight on this new route was actually flown on Monday from Windhoek to Zurich, and carried 253 passengers. The service is being operated with Airbus A350 widebody airliners, and will be flown twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. “Zurich is located in the heart of Europe and offers excellent connections to all major cities on the continent,” highlighted Edelweiss CEO Bernd Bauer. “Zurich Airport is one of the most modern airports in Europe and impresses with short and convenient transfer routes.
