Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Voltalia commissions 148 MW solar plant for Richards Bay Minerals

Renewable energy company Voltalia has commissioned the 148 MW Bolobedu solar power plant, in Limpopo, for mining company Rio Tinto South Africa subsidiary Richards Bay Minerals (RBM). Bolobedu will supply about 300 GWh/y of renewable energy to RBM’s production facilities in KwaZulu-Natal.
