Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

TRIM seeks private operators for 20 rail sidings

State-owned Transnet Rail Infrastructure Manager (TRIM) is seeking private operators for 20 rail sidings across the South African rail network as part of ongoing reforms aimed at introducing private sector participation. The sidings on offer include 13 sidings in TRIM’s eastern region, comprising Pyramid South, Ngagane, Hlobane, Panbult, Rietkuil, Carolina, Klaserie, Mica, Pienaarsrivier, Bela Bela, Marikana (A), Marikana (B), and Marikana (C);  six in its western region, including Bellville Autosort, Lutzville Station, Putsonderwater, Worcester, Upington, and Orchard; and Krugersdorp in its central region.
