Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Treasury to start deducting money owed to municipalities by provincial and national departments

The National Treasury has taken a decision to deduct monetary amounts owed to municipalities by national and provincial government departments to settle outstanding debts, Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana announced in his Budget Vote address. He reported that provincial departments owed municipalities about R14.9-billion currently, while national departments owed municipalities about R8.2-billion.
