Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

TRIM completes Cape Mainline recovery after severe storm damage

State-owned rail and logistics company Transnet Rail Infrastructure Manager (TRIM) says it has successfully completed the recovery and reconstruction of the Cape Mainline, linking the Port of Cape Town with South Africa’s central inland rail network. The reconstruction work took place following severe storm damage and major washaways in the Western Cape, in May, with the company highlighting that heavy rainfall, strong winds and flooding caused extensive damage to railway infrastructure, including at five locations in the Worcester area and two washaways at Leeu-Gamka in the Karoo region.
