Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Creecy says RFPs for three big rail and port concessions on track to be issued in 2026

Transport Minister Barbara Creecy reports that Transnet is preparing to release request for proposal (RFP) documents for three large private sector participation (PSP) projects in 2026, including one RFP that should be released to the market in February. In a speech delivered as part of the debate on President Cyril Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address (SoNA), Creecy stated that Transnet was aiming to release an RFP for the Richards Bay Dry Bulk Terminal “this month”.
