Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Private operator sought for Port of Cape Town ship-repair floating dry dock

A request for proposals (RFP) has been issued by Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) for a private facility operator to design, finance, construct, operate, maintain and decommission a floating dry dock at the Port of Cape Town under a 25-year concession.  The RFP has been issued in response to what TNPA describes as growing demand for ship-repair services, driven by increasing vessel traffic along the Cape Sea route.
