Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Modern grid needed as more renewable energy comes online – SAPVIA

South Africa has an installed solar PV capacity of 10.2 GW, 72 GW of renewable-energy projects at an advanced stage of development and a pipeline of 220 GW of renewable-energy projects. However, the industry has reached a critical bottleneck, says industry organisation South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) technical and policy manager Sim Khuluse.
