Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Johannesburg pays debt to Eskom, averting risk of power being throttled

South Africa's biggest city Johannesburg has fully settled an overdue debt of R5.25-billion owed to State-owned power utility Eskom, the electricity department said on Friday. The settlement follows a government-led mediation process to resolve a long-running billing dispute that had threatened to see electricity supply throttled to the economic hub of Africa's biggest economy.
