Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

High fuel prices weighed heavily on South Africa’s second-quarter GDP – TIPS

South Africa's non-agricultural GDP contracted by 0.2% in the second quarter, ending four quarters of growth. This slowdown was primarily owing the extraordinary global spike in petrol and diesel prices following the start of the US-Israeli and Iran war at the end of February, says economic research institution Trade and Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS).
