Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Granger Bay reclamation project on track to seek Parliament approval in 2027

Parliament is expected to deliver its verdict on the proposed project to reclaim just more than 3 ha of land from the sea at the V&A Waterfront, in the third quarter of next year, says V&A Waterfront development executive manager Allan Ngeku. The reclamation project, which forms part of a broader R24-billion expansion programme at Cape Town’s waterfront development, is currently the simultaneous subject of an environmental-impact assessment, as well as an Integrated Coastal Management Act process.
