Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

dtic working to diversify South Africa's trade markets, as it reports on 2025/26 performance

The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (dtic) is working to diversify markets through trade agreements with the EU, other African countries, the Southern African Development Community, BRICS Plus countries, the UK and the US. In its 2025/26 Annual Report, the department says it aims to strengthen manufacturing export promotion for small, medium-sized, micro- and black-owned enterprises.
