SuperUser Account / Friday, May 15, 2026 / Categories: Industry News Denel highlights importance to it of partnerships, R&D In its presentation to the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Defence and Military Veterans, embattled State-owned defence industrial group Denel highlighted the importance to its future of developing strategic partnerships and collaborations (including access to funding), and of undertaking research and development (R&D). Partnerships, of various types and at different levels, would be a way of gaining access to markets, funding, innovation and technology. The different levels could be government to government, company to company, business division to business division, all the way down to the project/capability level. Strategic partnerships could take the form of joint ventures (JVs), contracting partnerships, marketing agreements, “smart partnerships” and public-private partnerships (PPPs).
