Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Court ruling opens way for much-delayed DCT Pier 2 transaction

The KwaZulu-Natal High Court has dismissed an application to have Transnet’s July 2023 selection of a preferred bidder to develop and upgrade the Durban Container Terminal (DCT) Pier 2, in KwaZulu-Natal, reviewed and set aside – a judgment that opens the way for the much-delayed private sector participation (PSP) project to proceed. Following a bidding process, Transnet named International Container Terminal Services Incorporated (ICTSI), of the Philippines, as the preferred bidder for a 25-year joint venture with Transnet Port Terminals at its flagship, but underperforming, terminal.
