Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Cape Town’s Metal Theft Unit closes 136 non-compliant scrap traders; recovers 800 kg of ...

In the ten months between July last year and April this year, the City of Cape Town’s (CoCT’s) Metal Theft Unit made 88 arrests and recovered more than a kilometre of stolen cable and more than 800 kg of stolen metal. The unit also completed 5 979 patrols in hotspot areas, executed 1 257 scrapyard compliance inspections, responded to 423 complaints from the public, and issued 3 095 fines for various by-law transgressions.
