Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Boshoek and Wonderkop smelters to be restarted after Glencore Merafe and Eskom finalise 62c/kWh ...

The Glencore Merafe Chrome Venture has announced that the Boshoek and Wonderkop ferrochrome smelters will be restarted, following the conclusion of the detailed terms and conditions of negotiated pricing agreements (NPAs) with Eskom. The NPAs, Glencore Marafe said, gave full effect to the 62c/kWh tariff, which had been approved by the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa) for both the venture and for Samacor Chrome.
