Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Armscor welcomes African scientists for advanced analytical chemistry programme

The Armaments Corporation of South Africa (Armscor) is hosting 21 scientists from 16 African countries at its Protechnik Laboratories, in Pretoria, Gauteng, from June 8 to 19 for the yearly Analytical Chemistry Course conducted under the auspices of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The specialised training programme forms part of ongoing international efforts to strengthen scientific and technical capabilities among African member States in support of the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC).
