Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

AMSA flags widened interim losses

Steelmaker ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA) has warned that its loss a share for the six months ended June 30 is likely to be between R1.10 and R1.14, compared with a loss a share of 84c in the first half of 2025. Further, its headline loss a share is expected to have widened by 45% to 51% to between R1.32 and R1.37, compared with the headline loss a share of 91c reported for the prior comparable period.
