Renewable energy engineering firm AfiCoast Engineers SA has announced that a new company,
AfriCoast Energy, will now be responsible for all future renewable energy projects - particulary
wind and solar - while it will also play a key role in guiding AfriCoast Engineers' current
basket of renewable energy projects.

Absa PMI declines in July, but domestic demand and new sales orders improve

Financial services firm Absa’s Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) declined to 46.8 in July, from 47.3 points in the prior month. While this reading suggests a weak start to the third quarter, the headline decline arguably overstates the weakness in underlying manufacturing conditions, as domestic demand improved and lifted new sales orders, Absa comments.
